When you are talking about tube welding, then we are talking about the new WELDAC G2. Generators for tube welding are a core business of EFD over the past 20 years. It is a matter of course that we continue this success story. The latest generation of WELDAC G2 which impresses with a multitude of advantages.
Through the consequent advancement of IGBT technology we are able to supply a working frequency up to 350kHz and power of 2000kW and more.
The latest development of EFD is the WELDAC as a single cabinet solution up to 600kW output power. This allows us to utilize minimum floor space conditions optimal. The automatic frequency and impedance matching in our serial oscillating circuit enables to use the WELDAC in the whole power spectrum with an efficiency up to 87%.
A further advantage is that the power regulation of the generator is made in the inverter-module. By this and other aspects the WELDAC can run the rectifier diodes with a power factor cos. phi of min 0.95.
The built-in inverter modules are designed to support the highest requirements and stresses. Therefore we are the worlds only supplier that offers 5 years full warranty on the transistor-inverter modules. Our generators have minimized ripples on the welding current. That results in a continuous and homogenous welding result, and a clean welding seam.
With a WELDAC G2 you can weld tubes in a diameter from 10mm up to 660mm with contact welding-head or induction coil. The WELDAC G2 is very simple to use and needs a minimum of user controlled adjustment over the user-friendly control panel. The control system of the unit which is equipped with a bus interface, can be adapted according to the customers needs and requirements.
